There are many highly contagious skin fungi that people suffer from every day. Most of us visit the doctor for treatment but if you are unable to reach the doctor or if you feel like you can use some remedies for skin fungus- keep on reading.

Remedies for Skin Fungus

1. Use Turmeric

Turmeric has the most antiviral and antifungal qualities. It has been used for centuries for its antimicrobial properties and also can fight against various fungi.

Turmeric can be applied mixed with coconut oil and also can be used in your ‘meal’. But using turmeric directly can be more effective on skin fungus than using it in your meal.

If you are applying it on the fungi area of your skin, mix it with water or coconut oil and then apply. Later rinse it off. This can almost regenerate skin.

2. Use Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is used in several skincare products and creams. This gel can be trusted for aging skin and also for fungal skin.

Apply Aloe Vera on the infected area thrice a day; it is a great cooling agent which will soothe the irritation.

3. Use Neem Leaf

Neem is known as the ultimate detoxifier with the best antifungal quality.

Wash the neem leaves and then boil in for a few minutes, later softly rinse the infected area with the neem water.

4. Use Soap and Water

‘Precaution is better than cure’.Before using remedies for skin fungus, try to prevent it at the start. Try to be as clean as possible. Wash your hands once or twice a day and let it dry or wipe with dry cloth.

Even if you get infected with this fungus, wash the infected area with soap and water. This can help stop the spread of infection to other parts of the body.

5. Use Plain Yogurt

Yogurt is high in probiotics, protein, calcium and vitamins. The probiotics may boost the immune system and also helps your body’s ability to absorb vital nutrients and fight infection. Yogurt can help in many ways but this is the best home remedy for skin fungus.

Unflavoured yogurt could be more effective than an antifungal cream. If you are about to try this at home, then get unflavoured yogurt and apply softly over the affected areas of the skin. Wash after some time!

6. Use Coconut Oil

People normally use coconut oil as a moisturizing lotion- it is very effective on hard, itchy skin. And it is one of the best remedies for skin fungus.

To use coconut oil effectively, you can simply apply it on your skin whenever you feel like it and let it absorb.

When to See a Doctor:

Even after trying these remedies for skin fungus, if the symptoms still continue then meet with your doctor. The doctor may suggest some strong antifungal medications.
