The 5 Most Basic Rules of Health and Fitness

For health and fitness, there are lots of advice and tips circling the internet which will surely confuse us. Some pages will state that eating eggs, butter and cheese will affect body condition and other pages will state the opposite. But the basic rules of health and fitness are few.

You should maintain a healthy meal, drink plenty of water, etc. Follow these rules to attain better health.

Basic Rules of Health and Fitness:

1. Eat Real Food

The simplest and most effective way to stay healthy is to take healthy foods. It’s best to prepare your meal than to have processed foods. Eat fish, meat, fruits, veggies and nuts combined, cut back on carbohydrates.

Take protein with every meal or snack if you are working out regularly because protein is a major building block for muscles. It will also keep you fuller for a longer period.

2. Move Around

Do regular warm-ups. It will increase your heart rate and loosen your joints. Warm-ups prepare you for your daily activity and keep you strong all day. Save 5 minutes to stretch out, you can do simple exercises like squats, push-ups, pull-ups anywhere, anytime.    

Involve yourself in low-intensity activities like cycling, running, and swimming. These are the basic rules of health and fitness.

3. Don’t Smoke

Smoking damages both your health and fitness and everybody knows this. It is connected with many diseases such as respiratory disease, cancer, and heart disease and could lead to premature death. If you are a person who smokes regularly, quit smoking now. Your body can heal the damage done by tobacco as soon as you quit smoking.

4. Stay Hydrated

If you workout for better fitness and health, water is one of the main things you will lose from your body. In one hour of work out, you may lose more than a liter of water. So keep a bottle of water beside whenever you work out. Drink plenty of water because it regulates body temperature and heart rate.

5. Don’t Stress Too Much

“The mind is everything, what you think you become”. Don’t give in to negative thoughts, it will stress you out. Keep yourself busy all day and achieve your goal. Many people suffer from depression and feel like they can’t see the way out.

This depression and stress will ruin your mind as well as your body. Follow these basic rules of health and fitness to keep your body perfect.
