Study shows that Colon cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. Researchers found that the spinach diet can significantly reduce colon tumors. Fruits and vegetables like spinach, broccoli, lettuce, tomatoes, oranges, and other fruits are rich in carotenoid that helps to avert colon cancer. 

What Is Colon Cancer?

Colon Cancer is also known as colorectal cancer, bowel cancer, and rectal cancer. It is a type of cancer that begins in the large intestine. This type of cancer usually affects the older ones. This type of cancer usually begins as small, noncancerous clumps of cells known as polyps which form inside the colon. Spinach contains rich vitamins like Vitamin K, A, B, and C, folic acid, manganese, magnesium, iron, and also omega-3 fatty acid. These vitamins and minerals help in promoting cancer-protective properties.
