How to Handle Stress Due to Social Distancing?

 Self Care

This is a crucial situation to everyone and we can’t do anything about it. So sit back and relax and let the doctors and scientists do their job. At this time self-care is a must. Take a warm bubble bath, do a pedicure or manicure once in a while, write a journal, and do all the things which make you happy. Take care of your mental health.

Breathing Exercise

Everyone knows about breathing exercises! Exercise is a great stress reliever and everyone should practice this at least 10 to 15 minutes a day. Many fitness organizations are posting free classes in social media at this crucial time. Attend them and follow the guidelines given.

Be Kind to Others

This is a crucial time for everyone, so be kind to others. It doesn’t just benefit someone else, but you also get to be happy. The other person may be going through a change or a difficult time so be nice and help them survive. This will surely help them solve their stress due to social distancing.

Spend Time with Family

This is the perfect time to spend quality time with your loved ones. You will never get another opportunity like this, so make use of it. Plan your activities and be with your family- plan for morning yoga classes with others, cook meals together, draw together or play Ludo, snake and ladder games with the family. 24/7 with the family will be hectic, so plan accordingly.

Alone Time

Take some time for yourself because you deserve it! Let your family know when you need some alone time, tell them not to disturb you while you work. Schedule some time to spend some time alone. Listen to your favorite music, watch a movie, and take a long walk. ‘Me’ time is a must in everyone’s life.

Plan Your Activities

Global pandemic or not, always plan your activities. But half a year in isolation is too much to take. So assign some fun activities for the kids like puzzle games, board games, Trivia quizzes or other fun activities and join them. You can get through this pandemic only if you stay calm and let the time flow.

Go Outside When Possible

Social distancing is necessary but it doesn’t mean you have to stay home 24/7. Suit up with masks, gloves and other safety measures and take a walk, go for jogging. Get out of the house once in a while and enjoy the climate.

You Are Not Alone: We are all into this together! Never feel alone, talk to each other, ask for help, and just try to survive this global pandemic. Stay safe and stay strong guys!
