  • Sudden shortness of breath 
  • Chest pain 
  • Fast heartbeat 
  • Mild fever 
  • Cough with or without blood 
  • Difficulty in breathing and speaking

How to Treat Blood Clots in the Legs?

Many people think that walking around and doing regular exercise will get rid of blood clots, but it is not true. There are various methods and supplements that dissolve blood clots in the leg. Following are the simple blood clot treatments.

  • Medicines like heparin and enoxaparin (Lovenox) can prevent blood clots.
  • Special stockings can prevent blood clots.
  • Improve the blood flow in your legs by doing regular exercise. 
  • During prolonged trips change your positions.
  • Don’t sit in the same place for too long or more than 1 hour.
  • Try not to bump or hurt your leg.
  • Avoid using pillows under your legs or knees. 
  • Reduce the intake of salt.
  • Intake of healthy foods that dissolve the blood clots. 
  • Do exercises as per your doctor’s instructions. 
  • Take all medicines prescribed by your doctor. 

Regardless of the aforementioned ways to prevent blood clots, there are many other blood clot treatments available. Hence, it is always advisable to consult your doctor if you have been diagnosed with a blood clot.
