7 Habits that is making your asthma worse

People who suffer from asthma have to take more care of themselves than others. There are a million factors that can trigger their asthma attacks.

Using your controller and rescue medication appropriately is one of the most important things you can do to manage symptoms, but there are many environmental and lifestyle factors that can trigger asthma.It is just that the affected person has to keep their eyes open and see which factors that are really causing your asthma.

1)    Wearing shoes in the house

The bottom of your shoes can carry a lot of allergens such as mold, pollen and more. Allergens are the main cause of inflammation that can lead to blocked airways and difficulty breathing. So ditch your shoes outside so that you don’t bring in extra allergens to your floor.

2)    Driving with the windows down

You might want to enjoy a bit of fresh air as you drive. What you don’t realize is that you are inviting pollen into your car and increasing the chances of triggering an asthma attack. Roll up your windows and be safe.

3)    Placing your air purifier in the wrong spot

Most of us place the air purifier in the corner of a room. But an air purifier works best in the area where it is exposed to the most allergens and irritants. It needs to catch maximum traffic to be effective.
Do not forget to clear your purifier so that it traps the dust particles and other irritants.

4)    Taking anti-inflammatory pain relievers

The fact is that taking anti-inflammatory like aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen actually causes more airway inflammation and asthma symptoms. So steer clear of them.

5)    Wrong cleaning products

Any cleaning product with a strong odor, a perfume smell, or a chemical aerosol spray has the potential to irritate the airways and lead to inflammation and, ultimately, wheezing and coughing.
The best way to clean is to use natural substances like water, baking soda and vinegar.

6)    Swimming in pools

Swimming is a great exercise for many people with asthma, though studieshave found that spending time in chlorinated pools may increase the risk of developing asthma and other respiratory conditions. Indoor pools can also be hotbeds of mold spore—another common trigger.

7)    Scented candles

We all love to use aromas to set a romantic atmosphere or mood. These scented candles emit aroma, smoke, chemicals and other irritants that cause wheezing and are a nightmare for those with a respiratory issue.
