Not only smoking cigarettes but also vaping can lead to lung damage. Vaping was said to be less harmful than cigarettes but now researchers say it is deadly. Vaping is addictive so it is hard for people to quit. On the other hand, the minute you quit the habit, your body will experience many benefits immediately.

What Is Vaping? 

Vaping is an inhaling vapor created by a vaping machine or electronic device (e-cigarette). It is a battery-powered smoking device that consists of cartridges with a liquid that mostly contains nicotine, chemicals, or flavorings. This liquid is heated into vapor and the person inhales it. That is why it is called Vaping. The e-cigarette was introduced in the market in late 2000, from then it was believed to be a safer alternative to tobacco cigarettes but now researchers have evidence to the contrary.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have discovered nearly 3,000 cases of vaping-related lung disease known as EVALI (e-cigarette or vaping use-associated lung injury). In 29 states, nearly 68 deaths have been recorded. Vaping also tends to aggravate the symptoms of COVID-19 and it can also lead to the risk of death. Vaping is not only addictive but is also deadly. Vaping with a JULL ( electronic cigarette) is as dangerous as smoking a pack of cigarettes a day. When you vape you’re inhaling e-juice from the cartridge attached to the vaping device. The inhaling liquid might contain dozens of other chemical ingredients.

1. Cardiovascular Improvements

Your heart rate returns to normal, your blood pressure drops in just 20 minutes and your breathing may improve. The key ingredients in e-cigarette- propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin produce chemicals when heated that harms your respiratory tract. So, when you quit vaping you can breathe easier as your airflow is clearer.

2. Reduces the Risk of Heart Attack

Studies say that daily e-cigarette double the risk of a heart attack. Heart attack risk starts to decrease because of lowering of blood pressure, rising blood oxygen levels, and reducing the negative influence on cholesterol levels and formation of blood clots says dr. Djordjevic says. You’ll experience this after one day when you quit vaping.

3. Nicotine Flushes out of Your Body

As nicotine is addictive you may experience some physical and psychological effects. The psychological symptoms include cravings for nicotine, trouble concentrating, irritability, mood swings, and anxiety. The physical symptoms include sweating, tremors, insomnia, headaches, abdominal cramps, and anxiety. These are some of the negative effects you’ll experience often within four to 24 hours after quitting. These effects will peak around day three and gradually decrease.

4. Blood Circulation Will Improve

Research says, Nicotine constricts the blood vessels in your skin around the heart and decreases blood flow. But after you quit, your blood circulation will improve as blood vessels will return to their function and normal diameter.

5. Decreases the Danger of Stroke

E-cigarette smokers are much more likely to experience heart stroke. E-cigarette smokers have a 71 percent higher risk of stroke compared to nonsmokers. Quitting vaping can lower the risk immediately.

6. Eliminates Cancer Possibility

As the years go on, the vaper’s risk of all sorts of cancers such as mouth, throat, lungs decreases. Within a decade, lung cancer risk is decreased by 50% and after 15 years your heart becomes the same as a non-smoker’s heart.  

After 15 to 20 years of non-vaping, an ex-vapor can lead a happy and healthy life as a person who never vaped or smoked.
