  • Invest in a Good Toothbrush

Choosing a good toothbrush is a fundamental trick for keeping your smile white & healthy. Though there are so many brands, types, and models; many of us invest in a toothbrush of our favorite color. Which is totally wrong! Next time while purchasing a toothbrush make sure to follow look into the following features- 

Size of the brush head- The best size of a brush head is one inch tall and half an inch wide. 

Type of bristles– The three types of bristles are soft, medium, and hard. A soft-bristled toothbrush is a comfortable and safest choice. 

ADA approved- Make sure your brush is ADA approved. ADA-certified brushes have gone through several testing to ensure the best cleaning and safety for your mouth. 

Also, don’t forget to replace your toothbrush every three to four months or when you notice it frayed. 

  • Limit Staining Foods and Drinks

Many foods and beverages contribute a lot to staining your teeth. Foods or drinks with darker pigments and higher acidic content can lead to tooth staining or discoloration. Beverages like tea, soda, coffee, wine, and foods like tomato sauce or curry sauce can stain your teeth. Use a straw while you’re drinking beverages of dark pigments. This will also protect your teeth from cavities.

Visiting your dentist once every six months is one of the most important ways to keep your teeth white and healthy. Untreated tooth decay can lead to cavities and many dental issues. Your dentist might also give you a dental cleaning, which you can’t do on your own. 

  • Improve Your Health Conditions

Conditions like high blood pressure, obesity, anemia, and diabetes can also cause tooth decay. Eating right, getting good sleep, and enough exercise can gradually improve your health.
