Are you fed up of having to change your glasses from time to time? And these pair of accessories does not come cheap. Treat them with the care they deserve. After all they protect your eyes and even help you see things that you otherwise would not be able to see or view.
It might look stylish to wear your glasses on you head. But not only will this act of yours stretch the frame and make it lose but you also stand the risk of getting the grease or oils from your head onto the lens that can damage it.
This simple piece of advice is often neglected or ignored. We tend to be careless with our glasses. We place them lens down and land up with scratches that affect the lens.
Keep them safe in a box and never ever place them with the lens downward, unless you have lots of money to keep buying new lenses.
Most glasses are made from plastics. They are made by melting plastic into molds. So if you land up keeping your pair of specs in the car on a hot afternoon day, you risk the chances of the glasses melting and becoming too loose and flexible.
When you get sand on your pair of glasses at the beach or park, wash off the sand using plain water. If you wipe it the sand off using a towel you risk the chance of scratching the lens with the sand.
Do not use glasses cleaners with alcohol or ammonia in it as it can land up damaging your lenses. Instead you can use a simple solution of soap and water to clean the glasses, using only your fingers. Once it is clean, wipe off the moisture using a microfiber cloth.
Avoid using tissue or paper towels or even regular cloth to wipe your lens.
So treat you glasses with love and care, so that they can stay with you longer.
