A year comes to close, and it’s a tradition for us to get excited about our New Year’s resolutions. This year, before you set a resolution, ask yourself this question.
Save money and lose weight are the most famous new year resolution in 2018. As we prepare for a new year, and for those who still believe in making resolutions about the changes you want to make in the coming year, why not consider new year resolution for skincare?. Whether you plan to hit the gym, lose weight, eat healthier, spend time with family, or start a new business. Whatever your goals may be, your skin needs attention as the rest of your life!
You can’t find a better skincare routine than washing your face twice a day. It is also one of the best new year skincare resolutions you can make. It is highly recommended to wash your face in the morning and before going to bed. A lot of dirt and toxins are accumulated in the face which can affect the quality of our skin and become a breeding ground for bacteria. Remove your makeup, wash and exfoliate your skin to remove excess dirt and oil day and night.
If you are doing it – Great job! If you aren’t, it’s time to start immediately! Wear SPF every day rain and shine. Sun’s harmful UV rays can cause skin sagging, wrinkles, and even lead to skin cancer. If you want to prevent premature aging, wear your SPF daily. You can’t think of a new year resolution for skincare without adding sunscreen to the list.
Promise yourself to go to bed early and wake up early. Your body and skin need 8 hours of undisturbed sleep to expel the toxin. Sufficient sleep will keep you away from baggy eyes and dark circles under the eyes. Give time for your skin to renew itself. Always feel refreshed after a good night’s sleep.
Offers or deals can be quite tempting but do not switch beauty products often. It is not a good practice as skin is very sensitive and using different products and brands can cause a cosmetic effect.
Skincare begins with good sleep and diet. Eating the right type of food is important to have a well-balanced diet. Include fruits, healthy fats, protein, vegetables in your diet. Avoid fried and junk food. Too much alcohol and sugar consumption is also harmful. Keep your skin hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
Listen to your skin. Update your skincare regimen whenever there’s a need. Try to adapt to the current climatic and weather conditions. Wear a moisturizer immediately after a bath. Clean your make-up brush every week and ensure you use quality skincare products. Before you say goodbye to 2019, make a new year resolution for skincare to have healthy skin.
